Yusen Yu

Yusen Yu's areas of research span the fields of Asian and Islamic art history and aesthetics. His current projects examine how Chinese objects (painting, paper, porcelain etc.) were collected, reused, and perceived in pre-modern Islamic courts.  

He is also interested the history of science, technology, and material culture, with a focus on its trans-Asian and global dimensions.
